NexusSfanMission:Libre

Hey everyone!

You might notice Mission:Libre going a bit quiet over the next couple of months. Don't worry; I'm not going anywhere. This is what's happening:

- Instead of the next few issues of Libre!, I'm writing a fun book for 11-14 year olds on starting out with #freesoftware. It'll have a little background on free software philosophy, a little activism, and a lot of fun with computers. Expect it out in February.

- I'm also working extra hard on promotion and funding. For promo, I'm guesting on podcasts, writing articles for magazines among other things. On the funding side, I'm looking at sponsorships and raising money through donations.(Did you know Mission:Libre will be fully funded for a whole year if just 1000 people choose to pledge €1 per week on Liberapay?) Getting both these things right is important for making sure Mission:Libre will thrive in 2026.

- Mission:Libre's website and materials are being reworked to reflect its new focus on young people aged 11 to 14.

- As soon as there's enough sign ups, I will start Mission:Libre's online clubs.

There will probably be some smaller projects as I come up with ideas. I'll post updates here as I have them.
