A screenshot showing how to find out if your Linux MInt, Ubuntu/Debian Linux server needs a reboot by checking var/run/reboot-required and var/run/reboot-required.pkgs files.

Here is a small tip for IT pros to determine if a Debian/Ubuntu/Mint based Linux system requires a reboot due to lib or kernel upgrades, check these two files to keep your system safe and patched from bugs by loading a new kernel when needed:
```
cat /var/run/reboot-required
cat /var/run/reboot-required.pkgs
```
You can easily automate this with Ansible or scripts for a fleet of servers. See cyberciti.biz/faq/how-to-find- for more info.

It's done! #chatcontrol is officially off the table after the danish EU council presidency drops it for good. It's a small but important victory!

Today we released the #XLibre Xserver version 25.0.0.14 containing #security fixes for CVE-2025-62229, CVE-2025-62230, and CVE-2025-62231. The fixes were backported from the X.Org X server. We recommend everyone update as soon as possible. #CVE
